TOMCAT Signal Generator

The Signal Generator works in conjunction with the TOMCAT locator.

There are two ways in which the Signal Generator operates the first is by applying a signal by induction, the second is by direct connection.

To operate the Signal Generator in Induction, simply stand the Signal Generator on the ground and turn the orange mode selector to the induction position.

To operate the Signal Generator in Direct Connection, connect the Signal Generator to the service you wish to trace using the appropriate connection leads, select the connection mode on the Signal Generator select the generator mode on the TOMCAT and trace the service.

It is advisable to always use "Connection Mode" whenever possible as this is by far the best way to trace and identify buried conductors.
